Runner Notes
Archers on site may be good motivation to run faster :)
Description
Located at the east side of Palisades Park, this loop is a great reminder that you're running in an urban area. Visitors are welcomed to this loop by some very involved graffiti on the tunnel that goes underneath the railroad bed to give access to the east side of the trail. Use caution on this loop, as the eastern section travels through an archery range. All the shooting areas in the range place the targets in the opposite direction of the trail, but caution is advisable anyway.
A second tunnel underneath the railroad is similarly decorated and allows passage once more under the railroad bed and back to the west side of the loop. The west side is much more peaceful and less arrow-filled with a couple of hills and pleasant views of the city and the railroad. This trail makes a great route when paired with
Trail 101.
