As its name implies, the Fishermens Trail makes a loop around the lake and provides access for anglers. The trail's tread is made up of rock and asphalt. The trail has no elevation gain and is easy. Since the majority of the trail is not shaded from the sun, be sure to cary plenty of water if you plan to run the trail in the summer. Great blue herons can often be seen stalking fish in the lake's shallows. They're hunting for frogs and fish, and are beautiful to observe.
