Description

The start of this trail is located off of the blue and white-blazed Appalachian Trail (AT). At the trail post continue onto the blue-blazed Stony Man Trail. After about a quarter of a mile, you'll come to a junction with the Stony Man Summit Trail - this short spur trails takes you to a great viewpoint and is well worth the side trip! At the viewpoint, you'll overlook the Shenandoah Valley, the town of Luray, and the Massanutten and Allegheny Mountains beyond.

To continue on the loop, stay right at the junction with the Stony Man Summit Trail to take the blue-blazed Stony Man Trail back to the junction with the A.T.
