The McDonnell Trail is a paved path that can be completed as either a loop or a figure eight. The trail is multi-use although horses are not allowed. The trail winds through large oaks and is shaded most of the way. There are some small hills along the way that make it a little bit more challenging as well as twelve exercise stations along the trail route if you are looking for more of a workout. The McDonnell Trail is great whether you are just wanting a nice run through the park or a complete workout.
