This trail is part of the NORAD Trail Race Half Marathon.

The trail travels on the southern ridge and offers views of southern Colorado. Most of the time that you are in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, the views are of northern Colorado Springs, because you are below the northern ridge. This trail gives you an opportunity to see the southern views not seen on many of the other trails in the park. It's the farthest trail from the trailhead, but it's worth the trip!
