Dogs Unknown
Description
For about 2.5 miles, you'll hike through Bell Canyon. There is only one way to go once you're in the canyon, and you really can't get lost since there will be walls, sometimes hundreds of feet high on either side of you. As you make your way through Bell Canyon, you'll encounter some short rock scrambles up, nothing too high, at most 10-15 ft. at the highest. Take your time as you wind your way through the beautiful, sculpted sandstone walls. Carved over millennia by wind and water, these features are fairly unique to the area. Enjoy!
Little kids and older adults will do fine. Dogs will need assistance. Stagnant pools of cold brown water may be present in a few spots, but it is mainly a dry canyon.
This trail is generally connected with the Little Wildhorse Canyon Trail to create a loop hike, and the journey is quite popular. You'll most likely meet others on the trail, so please be courteous to your fellow trail users. Because the canyon is dry, you'll want to bring plenty of water for the trip.
