This is an easy stroll along the edge of the lake. Wide and flat with easy footing along its entire length, this is a great trail for families and people of all ages. Head just left of the lake from the parking lot and continue on the easy-to-follow path.

Most people do this trail as an out and back, but you can also use this as the beginning of a loop up to Chauncey Peak by continuing on to the Giuffrida Park Blue Trail, or as the beginning of a loop around the lake by continuing on to the Giuffrida Park White Trail (Unmaintained).

This trail is also part of the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail, which is part of the New England National Scenic Trail.
