Description

Watch for an unmarked side-road off Behind the Rocks Road to the right of a fenced area. As you run this jeep road watch for opportunities to get grand views of the Moab valley to the northeast and the La Sal Mountains to the southeast.

When you are close to large Moab Rim Arch see if you can also spot smaller Tukunikivatz Arch on the horizon to the right. The end of the road is marked with a sign. Now you'll need to decide if you're up for an off-trail adventure to get a closer look at Tukunikivatz Arch (called that because from the west side the arch frames Mount Tukunikvatz perfectly) or perhaps other explorations of the Behind the Rocks Wilderness Study Area might strike your fancy. Either way the run back on this jeep road is equally appealing because of the views of mountains and slickrock fins.
