Description

Red Mill County Park is 160 acres in size and located in the glacier moraine left over from the last ice age. The park has really nice mature forests covering the hilly terrain. Round Lake serves as the headwaters of the Little Calumet River. All the trails are wide with good footing. There are ample picnic tables and benches throughout the park.

One note. Although this is a small trail system, the trails are not consistently marked. There are infrequent signs, signs facing the wrong way and signs from an older trail system that you can see off in the woods. Also, signs are needed at the trail intersections. Small Loop #1 is a flat, easy loop with easy access directly from the parking lot.
