Popular with hunters during deer season. Check Michigan DNR site for exact dates and wear orange when appropriate. A Michigan "Recreation Passport" is required to park at the trailhead.

Description

The B Loop is the longest of the four loops of the Highland Recreation A-B-C-D Loop and has one cutoff should you need it. It is still a long way back to the trailhead, however. For both the A and B Loops, the outbound route is longer than the inbound due to the number of switchbacks.

Your time is spent navigating rocks and roots on this narrow singletrack. There is plenty of off-camber trail to keep you on your toes, too. The B Loop can be accessed from the A Loop.
