The Short Cut Trail is a long forgotten road that connects to the Boundary Trail. If you're up for the 7 mile Boundary Trail keep heading straight up the mountain. If you don't have the time or energy for the loop, then turn left onto the Boundary Trail and follow it to Crystal Springs Loop Trail.

This shorter route will take you through the woods on some very friendly trail back to the Crystal Springs Loop. There aren't many obstacles along the way, so just enjoy the dense vegetation.
