Description

Starting at the large, iconic tree in the midst of the marshy lowland, this trail heads due east until it dead ends at Diamond Lane in a private landowner's backyard. To the north is the area's lightly wooded hillside and to the south, an overflow area for the wetlands. The westernmost end of the trail affords views of the pond area, the water birds and on a good day, the soaring bald eagles.

The tread of the trail has been maintained with gravel which is fairly deep in spots. Other than this, the navigation on this wide trail is very easy since there is no elevation gain or loss.

Flora & Fauna

Grass widows, arrow roots, buttercups, aspens, waterfowl, and bald eagles.
