Twisted Branch loop was the first section built at Hodge and is named for the many twists and turns that runners will experience over the course of two miles. In addition, the trail is located between two branches of Shoal Creek. This route is mostly a beginner trail, but it has one technical "rock garden" (Rocky Top) that will demand your attention. Another section will have visitors running through a grove of mature cedars (Cedar Maze) before returning to the hardwood forest and the Trail.

Typical Missouri flora and fauna, as well as (unfortunately) an abundance or invasive brush honeysuckle (which we hope to eradicate).
