Overview
A classic loop run on the east side of Orcutt Community Park with some rolling hills through low grasslands and oak trees.
Description
From Orcutt Community Park head east uphill on the Orcutt East Loop for a short while, until the trail then transitions in the
Stubblefield Loop. Continue straight until you come to a fence.
At the fence/asphalt road turn right. Head up to the open space's high point in the pine trees. Continue east, and turn left at the next fence. Follow the trail down through the oaks turning right to into a small draw for a lollipop loop on the
Black Oak Loop. Then run back west through the low grasses then oaks to close the loop and return to the trailhead.
This route utilizes a series of loop trails. Keep things interesting by working your way out on the north side of the trails, and then coming back on the southern extensions of the loops.
Flora & Fauna
Keep an eye open for deer on the
Black Oak Loop. Also, be careful of poison oak.
