Runner Notes

Short, steep, hard-buffed trail in most months. Will wake up the calves for sure. Can be extremely slick post rain. Watch for mountain bikers coming down the trail.

Description

From the treeline, pick the steep switchback that goes up and to the right into the trees in between Marshall Road to the A-Frame and Rumbling Paddoka. This is my favorite warm up trail. The trail rises steep, levels out then rises quickly again between the trees to the A-Frame or East Tower for a great view of the whole Lagoon from the east and beautiful Vaca Valley.

Flora & Fauna

Tree covered, may have poison oak as well.

After the first steep climb the trail crosses this confluence of trails before you head up the next steep section.
