Description
I have used this trail for years with my family. It is always a great day.
Arrive at the start of the trail by boat (there is a large dock with plenty of room). There is also canoe/kayak access on the other side of the point, although it can be difficult to reach due to reeds and bogs. I still try to land here every year, I just haven't hit it at the right time.
In general, the trail is marked and used just enough that you won't have any issues staying on the trail. You are going into the backcountry, so know that the trail is narrow and can be overgrown in some spots. The park has canoes and rowboats at the end of the trail. Keys can be obtained at the visitor center.
