This urban trail is a loop around the reservoir covered with crushed limestone. The park itself is heavily used, with most people sticking to the road. This leaves the trail a little less used, oddly.

The trail itself is nondescript. It does offer a breeze in summer, as it sits atop Highland Park. The surrounding area includes a nice children's play area, the Pittsburgh Zoo, a dog park (new as of 2016), and more singletrack trail; enough to get 3-4 miles of exercise in.
