The trail can be rutted by cattle, especially if wet. Look for flagging along the trail that helps mark the path until the trail sees enough traffic to wear it in.

Start from either Blue Steak or the Ridge Trail. From the Ridge Trail, look for the sign with a red arrow pointing to the north and head downhill through trees on a steep decline. Continue down on steep terrain until the trail levels out along a creek bed.

Upon encountering a fence line, do an about face and follow flagging up the hill to the right before going down and back up towards another fence line. Take a left turn and head up the draw before going though a sometimes open gate in a fence before joining the Blue Steak Trail.

Deer, turkey, birds. Possibly cattle.
