Runner Notes
Steep and unrelenting, this would be a tough run, though many choose to embark on it.
Description
This trail can be taken upward towards the gondola or can also be used to descend from the gondola. All in all, this trail is a steady climb on what is a ski run in the winter. Telluride Trail is a series of switchbacks that take you up and across the Telluride side of the ski mountain. It is very likely that you may spot a porcupine along your journey, as many of the prickly critters call the area home.
If you are ascending from town, expect a steady and somewhat challenging journey up that will get your blood pumping. Many people chose to run up to the top, and then take the gondola down, but you are able to navigate down on foot if you're looking for a longer trek.
