Description
The Hoodlebug Trail is one of the many trails that are part of the Trans Alleghney Trails Network. Like many other trails in the network, the Hoodlebug Trail was once a railroad bed, and this makes for an excellent run.
Along this stretch, visitors will enjoy 10 miles of gently rolling terrain, and a subtle elevation gain as you approach Indiana. The route travels through a variety of terrain, from fairly urban parks to remote feeling wilderness, and visitors may catch a glimpse of deer or other local wildlife.
In the summer months, the crushed limestone path is mostly shaded by large deciduous trees. When the leaves change colors in the fall, visitors will marvel at the display of color presented. This is a great place to get out for a run with the whole family.
