The trail begins near Timpanogas Lake at a parking lot and trailhead. From the get go, the trail switchbacks until it approaches a well-marked trail junction. From there, the trail follows a creek through the forest and past a scenic meadow until it reaches Indigo Lake at the base of Sawtooth Mountain.

The trail will then circumnavigate the lake. Since you've made the journey in, take the time to explore the lake!
