Overview
The terrain is a mixed bag for this route, and includes gravel, loose and compacted dirt, pavement, and mulch. There are some awesome views that let you get personal with your surroundings.
Description
For this loop, I honestly just went where the wind took me. Running in this park was a first for me, but bearing and blaze finding with a map from the visitors center will lead to a splendid day.
From the Nature Center head out east on the
Coyote Run Trail, at around 1.3 miles continue forward onto the western most loop of the
Coyote Run Trail. Once the trail doubles back there should be an intersection for the
Dripping Rock Trail.
Turn right and head in westerly direction. You'll then come across a connector trail on your right that leads the the
Big Meadows Path. Continue west on the
Big Meadows Path, as it makes a sharp right hand-er you'll see a connection trail to the left that leads to the
Scenic River Trail.
Follow that trail south until it loops back to the north and connects with the
Multipurpose Trail. (I continued south without a trail and ran out of real estate.) The
Multipurpose Trail interests with the
Big Meadows Path, take a right, doubling back on the
Dripping Rock Trail. Follow the
Dripping Rock Trail until it returns to the Nature Center.
