The Boone Trace Trail is a 1 mile loop through a corner of Levi Jackson State Park. The trail starts next to the swimming pool, and can be accessed from the pool parking, by using Boone Trail South, or off a service road from the campground.

The trail is well maintained and used, so it's generally dry, flat, and smooth. While I would classify it as singletrack, the trail is approximately 5-6 feet wide and can comfortably handle two runners abreast.

The trail wanders through the forest and follows a road for a while, so there will be some traffic noise. Overall, it is an easily-accessed route in the woods for somebody looking to get some nature time in without driving out of town.

Typical Eastern Forest, oaks, maples, poplars, dogwoods and redbuds. Birds and squirrels.
