If you don't like the big hill on the Long Lake Connector that leads to the Middle Picnic Table from the south, this is the route to take.

This shorter singletrack trail is one of many great routes located near the Middle Picnic Table. This route almost connects with many of the Bear trails.

Many of the newer singletrack routes in the Middle Picnic Table area, such as the Fox trails, were mechanically built. This means that the trails may be wider than traditional single/skinny track, though it makes the trails a little easier to navigate. This route, and many of the other Fox trails feature more gentle terrain than many of the ski trails.
