The camp gates are locked each night during summer camp sessions (late June-early August) and are unlocked each day around 8 am.

Runner Notes

The first section of trail can be difficult to follow at times, but it is clearly marked in the weeks leading up to the South of the Mountain Trail Run.

Description

This trail consists of two sections. The first section moves southward through the camp ropes course and follows a tree line along a meadow to the swimming pool. The second section turns back to the north and proceeds mostly uphill to the fishing pond.

Flora & Fauna

Beautiful fall colors can be observed in the large hardwood trees that shade the trail. Occasional deer, turkey, and many squirrels might make an appearance.
