A great path that runs along the Puget Sound; the quieter version of Alki during the summer months.

Runner Notes

This trail provides a flat and easy run on either the paved portion of the walkway, or use the gravel trail the spans the entire distance.

Description

Lincoln Park is a 135 acres park in West Seattle between Fauntleroy Way S.W. and Puget Sound. This trail is most easily accessed from the south end of the park where a parking lot is located near the Fauntleroy Ferry terminal but it is accessible from the north or through the park via various trails.

You'll find a nice paved path most of the way along with a gravel path that runs along the payment. The north end of the trail turns completely to packed gravel and is easily accessible year-round. This is a great place for families, gatherings, exercise, and really - anyone! There isn't a bad view along the entire water-side trail. Perfect in the evening for dramatic sunsets if the weather cooperates. You can catch views of Vashon Island, the Olympic Peninsula and the Olympic Mountains, as well as sweeping views of the Puget Sound.

Keep an eye out for this sign on the big rock along this path built out of nearby materials. :) If it's not there - make it!
