Runner Notes
Though this trail is great for running, the park is quite popular, so you may want to enjoy this route during the week or early in the mornings.
Description
Located just a short ways away from the bustle of the main Garden Area, the Ute Trail has a lot to offer. Like all of the trails in the park, this one is meticulously maintained, giving you ample opportunity to let your eyes wander from the trail.
The views available from this trail are captivating! As you work your way south from the trailhead off of Juniper Way Loop, you'll be able to see the incredible Dakota Hogback to the west. Continuing on, exceptional views to the east will compete for your attention. Take your time, and make sure to take in the views in each direction! This trail is a lollipop in shape, which provides the opportunity to return along a similar route, both seeing the same features from a new angle and being able to enjoy something new on the return journey.
Take your time to admire some of Garden of the Gods' incredible rock features before returning to the trailhead!
