Description

The Black Oak Trail is a short connector from the Mott Peak Trail to Old Briones Road Trail. Starting from the Mott Peak Trail, head south on the Black Oak Trail. The first half mile is a fairly easy grade with a slightly up to start and a barely perceptible down to follow.

After this, the descent gets steeper and there is a quarter mile section where the trails cuts to the east where you'll want to watch your footing especially if there has been any rain as the trails can get slippery when wet. Once you navigate this short section, you'll come to the junction with Old Briones Road Trail.
