Overview
This is a wonderful run with a lot of great forest views along with some nice shelters along this route and a natural spring. The dogleg on the lower right portion will lead you to the Woodland Shelter. If you do not want to go that way just keep heading straight! Overall, it is well worth the trip to the park. Be sure to bring a camera!
Description
This trail is not that well-marked; it needs to be marked better. Other than that, it is a very nice run. You'll pass two shelters along the way. First is the Hall Spring Shelter which has a spring directly in front of it. This spring has nice cool, clear water!
The trail then heads directly beside the shelter if you are going in the direction that I was. The next shelter is the Woodland Shelter which has a separate trail that leads to it. Take this short
Woodland Trail as shown on the lower right portion of the map if you want to stop off at this shelter. This trail is lightly used and unmarked. Overall, this route is a very nice run with loose rock and gravel with a mix or hardpacked dirt.
Flora & Fauna
Abundant wildlife on this trail. Lots of deer!
