Description
Visitors to the Dévero-Ai Ponti area who are seeking a lovely alpine run will love this track that skirts the northwestern edge of Lake Dévero. Though the lake is man made, it has exceptionally clear water and makes for a scenic backdrop to any outing.
Begin this route near the western side of the dam, at the end of a dirt road. Those looking for a longer outing can even begin their run by heading out from town.
This track begins as a fairly narrow footpath, though your way will be easily recognizable. The trail heads north, winding along the lovely banks of the lake. Take your time along this trail, as the scenery of the surrounding alps is spectacular. There won't be much to block your view, and you'll be able to see past idyllic meadows, across the waters of the lake, and down the valley back towards town.
The trail is rolling, and there aren't many steep portions, making this a pleasant and enjoyable trip for all. While you're out, stop to dip your feet in the waters of Lake Dévero! The trail will handrail the water, continuing to the northern end of the lake. From there, follow the trail as it turns to the south.
The trail will end at the another road, which leads back down to Crampiolo. After your outing, stop by the small village and relax with a tasty frozen yogurt!
