Runner Notes
The trail is not well-blazed, with only major intersections with roads and other trails having markings (concrete or wood monuments with green circle and arrow).
Description
This singletrack trail travels alongside Squaw Run starting from Squaw Valley Park and ending at McCahill Park.
Accessing the trail from Squaw Valley Park, take the
Squaw Valley Footpath until you reach the open stretch of field behind the children's play area. Run toward Fox Chapel Road, and the singletrack will be on your right, and is obvious.
The trail winds along dirt and grass sections. Because the trail is lightly traveled, the grass sections may not be as obvious, but there is little room to move as you are often between the road and Squaw Run in those grass sections.
You'll cross a "wood" arched bridge right before the end of the trail. From the bridge, you'll run along grass first on the right side of the road, and then left side, crossing at the intersection. The trail ends at the following intersection.
