Runner Notes

Some rocks but mostly flat dirt and good footing characterize this route, making for a great run.

Description

This trail is located right in the middle of the town of Shenandoah off Route 340, but you'll think you are back in the deep woods as you enjoy running this mile loop through the park. The trail is shared with mountain bikers and many people enjoy walking their dog on a leash, so you'll have some company, but that doesn't hinder the wild feel of this route.

Flora & Fauna

Whitetail deer, black bear, foxes and other critters. Ferns and white oaks.
