The smooth surface and enjoyable scenery along this trail make it a great option for trail running. If you're so inclined, consider linking it with other trails in the area for a delightful loop.

Description

This paved multi-use trail travels north from the parking area near Upper McKinney Falls before heading south through a lovely grove of trees paralleling Onion Creek. Further along, the trail circles around the campground prior to diving back into the woods.

Before returning to the start of the trail near Smith Visitor Center, runners will pass the remains of an old horse trainer's cabin.
