Runner Notes

This trail's soft, grassy tread makes it perfect for runners who wish to save their knees. While the trail is short, using it as part of a loop with the East Trail can make for an enjoyable jaunt.

Description

The Central Trail is an easy trail through tall grasses that meanders between the road and a long string of overhead power lines. Central Trail is enjoyable, but feels less solitary than other trails in the forest preserve. If you find yourself on this trail and happen to be passing Norton Creek, be sure to stop, sit down, and enjoy your surroundings. This is easily the best spot on the trail.
