Cosumnes River Preserve is open daily from sunrise to sunset.

Runner Notes

While not expressly forbidden, running is discouraged as it may disturb the preserve's sensitive bird population.

Description

The River Walk Trail is formed by a series of raised levees that twist about from woodland to grassland. Along this three-mile loop, visitors can find various plants, birds, and wildlife, making this a trail primed for quiet exploration. As the surrounding floodplains fill through the winter, the trail may become impassable.
