Runner Notes
Gravel (small) was recently laid down on the winding part of the trail, which takes off a wildness edge to the trail, but all in all, it is still beautiful.
Description
This short (0.7 mile) trail intersects both the
Pipeline Trail and
Siler's Mill Trail and provides a nice, short winding stretch through the second growth forest of the northern part of the Redmond Watershed forest. If you follow it east, you'll run through a beautiful corridor of Western Red Cedars and Douglas Fir with a creek and wetlands on the southern side of the trail. If you continue to run east, you'll either exit the Watershed and into the Trilogy community or take a right and follow the King County Trail towards the stunningly beautiful "Kari's Bog."
Flora & Fauna
Keep your eyes and ears open for bears. I've run into a number of them while running in the Redmond Watershed.
