Overview

One of the most popular trails in El Yunque National Forest, this route is a mostly uphill journey to El Yunque Peak. Along the way, there are many beautiful scenic vistas, lush jungle, and side run opportunities.

Need to Know

Bring plenty of water and appropriate footwear. The trail can be muddy and slippery after the rain.

Description

Work your way through a rainforest to the top of El Yunque Peak. The trail is easy to follow, relatively family friendly, and offers opportunities for side trips to Los Picachos and Mt. Britton, as well as the Caimitillo and Bano de Oro trails. There is a tower on top of the peak with a 360° view of the area, which is perfect on cloudless days.
