This trail can be treacherous when there is snow on it in the early season.

Description

From the end of the maintained trail at Cottonwood Lakes, follow this trail west to Army Pass. Climb the switchbacks, sometimes scrambling over and around large boulders, to the top of the pass.

At the top of the pass, continue to the Mount Langley Army Pass route or the Army Pass Trail.
