Don't let the pavement dissuade you. There's a lot to like about this trail. On the southern/eastern side of the trail there's a connector to Lime Kiln Trail that'll give you options for extending your run.

Some sections are paved, but the backside of the trail is singletrack dirt (and rock) like most of Rockwood Reservation. There are some stairs and a bridge. One of the bridges has been removed after a tree destroyed it, so the path currently traverses a normally dry creek.

This trail has one of the only decent views in the park not obscured by trees, on the bathroom side of the trail.

You'll see plenty of deer and occasionally turkey.
