The Boy Scouts of America, Silver Comet, Foothills, and Appalachian Trail Districts have adopted the state park as stewards of the park, and each promotes Leave No Trace principals in various ways throughout the park.

Not recommended for trail rinning

This scenic paved loop features a blacksmith shop and an old pioneer cabin where bluegrass bands play on summer nights. The trail passes a children's play area featuring tepees and other musical entertainment for the kids. This is a great way to pass the time with the kids.
