Be careful of mountain bikers–they are the dominant trail users in this park. There are many blind tuns and because of the isolation they don't expect there to be any trail-runners out there.

From the Eucs MTB park, follow a fire road on the north side of the park and hang a left before it dead ends. This is the beginning of Shooters Trail. Continue on Shooters for a few hundred meters to a 3-way intersection and take the left fork, this is the beginning of Morning Glory Trail.

The flora immediately changes from the Irish looking scenery common to San Luis Obispo to a more scraggly, rugged scenery characterized by high brush and small evergreens. The trail is very rocky, making it much easier to go up than down. For this reason I suggest any loop done in this area following Morning Glory/Botanical uphill and Shooters downhill. There are several small stream crossings when it rains. The grade is consistent and moderate with well-built switchbacks.
