Overview
This trail has great Cedar Breaks type overlooks at several spots along the trail. You get great views down into the Virgin River Drainage and can see Zion Park in the distance.
Description
This trail actually starts at the Strawberry Point Overlook and end at Wood's Ranch in Cedar Canyon. This trail is fantastic for running or biking. There are a few places where roads cross the trail for resupply or bail-out points. There is parking along Strawberry Point Road at the start of this trail. The best points to section this up or have vehicle support are at the
Cascade Falls Trailhead, the Virgin River Rim Trailhead next to Te-Ah Campground at Navajo Lake, and where the trail crosses the Webster Flat Road. There is plenty of parking at Woods Ranch. Along the way, runners will enjoy great views of Zion and Navajo Lake. The trail has been fairly well maintained and is mostly easy to follow the whole way.
Due to the length of the route, it's recommended that runners enjoy this route as either an overnight trip (perhaps multiple nights depending on your pace) or as a shuttle. It would be quite difficult to run this trail out-and-back in a single day.
