Runner Notes

The trail is quite rough. Use caution while running.

Description

From the junction with the Big Balanced Rock Trail and the Sarah Deming Trail, descend the trail to access the loop. Turning left at the junction, enjoy formations and the more strenuous parts of the trail: Pinnacle Rock, squeeze through a narrow place between two rocks, Old Maid, Camel's Head, Thor's Hammer, all while enjoying views to other fantastic formations, Punch and Judy, a view across hundreds of spires at the top of a rise, Duck on a Rock, Kissing Rocks, and more. The trail is never difficult to follow, but at times it crosses bare rock and an occasional short scramble is required.

Return to the loop junction at about mile 0.7; turn left to return to the beginning of the trail.
