Description

This trail more or less bisects Sterling Forest State Park from the north to the south starting at NY 17A. The trail runs over a little hill before meeting a creek that flows to the north out of the park. You'll follow the creak up a slop to a marshy area where you'll meet the orange-blazed Bare Rock Trail. The trail continues south through some very marshy areas that offer potential wildlife viewing, but might be best avoided if it has rained a lot recently. The trail will meet the Bare Rock Trail again as well as the Fire Tower Trail which it sill join for a short while along another creek. Finally the trail cuts south and leaves the Fire Tower Trail to end at the white-blazed Lake to Lake trail.
