Dogs No Dogs
Trails and climbing routes at Camp Eagle are opened up to the public one weekend per month from August - June. Otherwise, the property is closed for the exclusive use of campers and retreat guests. Info about these open-access weekends can be found
here.
Runner Notes
A favorite of mine for hill repeats. Very rocky terrain. You can gain a ton of speed on the downhill, but be careful - a fall on this trail would tear you up in a pretty bad way.
Description
This trail starts at the same location as one of the
Boot Trail entry points. By going left at that entry, you'll be able to follow Zip Trail up and up, gaining elevation as you climb out of the valley. The trail will put you out onto the jeep road that cuts through the heart of Camp Eagle's property.
Flora & Fauna
Ash juniper, live oak, prickly pear, lamb's ear, axis, and whitetail deer.
