Description

From the Hoffman Creek trailhead on Wurr Road, Old Haul Road heads east through forests and fields by Redwood Glen Christian Camp. Some of the camp's private trails cross the road, but they are clearly marked.

After a mile, the trail enters a wilder setting of second-growth redwood forests. Despite being an easy journey, this trail accesses some remote parts of the Santa Cruz Mountains and still offers a sense of wilderness.

At two miles, the Ocean View Trail heads uphill to the right.

Another 2.5 miles brings you to the Butano Ridge Trail, and another mile after that brings you to the Portola Trail, both uphill on the right.

The road ends a half mile beyond the Portola Trail at the private property on the park boundary.

old haul road is good. Avoid doing the butano ridge loop. Alot of debris in loop trail made difficult to know what you're stepping on. Also no view… 12mi
