Runner Notes

The trail is very well marked at places and then, boom, no markings. There are also other crossing trails, including a nature trail to one of the day schools that border on the Great Road/Stuart Road corner. Oh, well, the fun of running in the woods. There are a couple of stream crossings, and lots of roots and rocks, but mostly well-drained upland on this side so there isn't mud until you get close to the Great Road end.

Description

The trail, blazed with yellow triangles, crosses the northwest side (Stuart Road) of Mountain Lakes Preserve from Cherry Hill Road to the Great Road. It is a rocky, mildly rooty singletrack that travels from east to west across the well-drained upland of the preserve.
