Runner Notes
This is a nice trail to run on, but as with most of the preserve, watch for exposed roots in wooded areas, as well as other forest dwellers including snakes.
Description
This trail starts and terminates at the north and south ends of the
Arbor Hills Loop. The trail is well-maintained and takes you the far west side of the preserve. You'll enjoy an equal amount of grassland and wooded forests with opportunities to see plenty of birds and only a few human visitors.
A great place to enjoy a run with well-maintained trails, but be mindful of your footing as there are some exposed roots in places. At the northern end of the trail, there are several smaller connecting trails that will take you back to various trails on the
Tower Trail and the
Arbor Hills Loop.
