Runner Notes
The trail is mostly rocky and can be muddy. In winter, you won't regret the extra weight of Gore-Tex shoes.
Description
This trail starts at the parking lot on Mountain Ave and ascends through the woods to connect to the
Yellow Trail in the John Witherspoon Woods. The high end is much less muddy as the soil drains well but it is rocky and root-laden and a lot of fun.
Markers can be tricky to find at some points, but most of it is well-marked, and it's not like you can really get very lost in this little space in the middle of Princeton suburbia.
There are lots of stream crossings, pretty woods and fields to be seen on this trail. Locals take a lot of pride in this little park right in their backyards. Be friendly and considerate and enjoy.
