Runner Notes
Flat even trail. Probably not good after a rain.
Description
There is a trailhead for this route on Stagecoach Blvd. Be careful crossing the street from the parking lot, people fly by in their cars.
Once you are on the trail, it is very straightforward. Being an old rail line, there are no hills or undulations. Slight rises are cut through and slight drops are filled in to make a very comfortable trail.
Unusual in the area, the trail runs through wetlands which allows visitors to see birds and animals and hear sounds not typical to most trails in the area. The drawback to being in a wetland is that it can be underwater after big rains and buggy in hot weather. Make sure you make it all the way to the end as the trail juts out on a peninsula into Jordan Lake and offers lovely views.
